5-Year-Old Girl Kidnapped by Hamas Freed... Emotional Reunion with Kindergarten Friends

Kidnapped by Hamas with mother while going to meet family last October
Kindergarten teacher: "Welcome back"

A 5-year-old girl who was held hostage by Hamas and then released was seen returning to kindergarten, embraced by her friends, touching hearts.

On the 5th (local time), the Israeli Ministry of Education and others shared a video of Emilia Aloni returning to kindergarten on social media (SNS), leaving a brief message saying, "There is nothing more exciting than this."

In the released video, Aloni smiled and waited until the kindergarten teacher opened the gate. When the teacher opened the gate saying, "Good morning. Welcome back," Aloni hugged the teacher and entered the kindergarten.

Upon hearing the news of Aloni's return, her friends came out to greet her and hugged her. One of Aloni's friends said, "I missed you. I saw you on TV," while patting Aloni's back. Seeing this, the teacher smiled and said, "You are really cute." Then she said to Aloni, "Everyone wants to hug you."

Earlier, Aloni was kidnapped by Hamas along with her mother while on their way to meet family on October 7. Following a temporary ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas, she was released in the first round of releases on the 24th of last month.

Meanwhile, Israel and Hamas agreed to a ceasefire from the 24th of last month until the 1st of this month. However, after the ceasefire extension agreement fell through, both sides resumed fighting. The United States stated that this was because Hamas refused to release additional female hostages.

U.S. President Joe Biden, visiting Massachusetts for a fundraising event for next year's election, pointed out, "The agreement broke down and the ceasefire ended because Hamas refused to release the remaining young women among the hostages." He added, "(Hamas) must immediately return all those still held hostage by Hamas to their families," and said, "We will not stop."
