Kim So-yeon, CEO of HL REITs Management, has been appointed as the CEO of Lotte AMC.
On the 6th, Lotte Group announced the '2024 Regular Executive Personnel Appointment' with this content.
CEO Kim So-yeon is the first female CEO in the domestic real estate asset management industry. Born in 1968, Kim earned her bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in Architectural Engineering from Yonsei University. She began her career in 1993 at the Korea Institute of Construction Technology, then served as a manager at SK Networks in 2004, head of department at Hyundai Asset Management in 2009, manager at Hanwha Investment & Securities in 2012, CEO of Nomura Real Estate Asset Management in 2014, CEO of iSTUM Asset Management in 2020, and from 2021 until this year, she was the CEO of HL Asset Management.
Lotte Group expects that with Kim's over 30 years of experience in real estate development, consulting, and asset management, she will not only facilitate the securitization of real estate assets held by Lotte affiliates but also activate new real estate investments.
With Kim So-yeon's appointment in this personnel reshuffle, the number of female CEOs in Lotte Group has increased to three. Following last year's appointment of Kim Hye-joo as CEO of Lotte Members, and the appointment of Shin Min-wook as CEO of Lotte GFR in September, this marks the largest scale of female CEO appointments since the first female CEO was appointed in 2018.
