Hope Dream Council Successfully Hosts 'Sharing Love Rice' Event
Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 5th that the Boseong-eup Hope Dream Council (co-chairmen Jo Young-woo and Kim Jae-gyun) delivered and visited rice collected through the ‘Love Rice Sharing (米)’ event at the Boseong-eup Administrative Welfare Center to neighbors in need within the district.
The ‘Love Rice Sharing (米)’ event, which started on October 1, resulted in a total donation of 3,280 kg of rice, with 164 bags (20 kg each) collected thanks to active participation from local residents, institutions, and organizations.
The Boseong-eup Hope Dream Council personally delivered the donated rice to 10 social welfare facilities and institutions, 47 senior centers, and 39 vulnerable households including multicultural families and those in welfare blind spots within the district, while checking on their well-being.
Jo Young-woo, Mayor of Boseong-eup, said, “We thank everyone who participated in this year’s ‘Love Rice Sharing (米)’ event.” He added, “We will continue to practice a warm and caring welfare community together with residents and strive to identify welfare blind spots during the winter season.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Love Rice Sharing (米)’ event has been organized annually since 2016 by the Boseong-eup Hope Dream Council to share the warm affection of Boseong residents and to welcome a warm winter together with residents, social organizations, institutions, and hometown supporters.
