Gwangju Metropolitan City Dong-gu Gyelim 1-dong announced on the 6th that it joined forces with Homeplus Gwangju Gyelim Branch to carry out the 'Love Kimchi Sharing Volunteer Service' for neighbors in need of care.
About 20 people, including members of the Gyelim 1-dong Community Security Council and Homeplus employees, delivered 50 batches of homemade kimchi, each weighing 3 kg, to 30 low-income households.
Homeplus Gwangju Gyelim Branch supported winter preparation kimchi for neighbors in need of care again this year, following last year, adding a helping hand for a warm winter.
Yoon Seop-hyun, head of Gyelim 1-dong, said, "I thank everyone who joined together for neighbors in need ahead of this winter, which is expected to have frequent cold waves," and added, "We will continue to strengthen public-private cooperation so that neighbors can spend a healthy winter."
