Muan-gun Selected as an Outstanding Institution in Personnel Evaluation of Cities and Counties in Jeollanam-do

Establishing a Transparent and Empathetic HR System

Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) has been honored as an excellent institution in the 2023 personnel field evaluation conducted by Jeollanam-do.

According to the county on the 6th, this evaluation is conducted by Jeollanam-do targeting 22 cities and counties, awarding outstanding cases and policies in the personnel field, employment rates of national merit recipients and persons with disabilities, and the appointment achievement of female public officials at grade 5 or higher, receiving high scores in all categories.

The county has been striving for transparent personnel management by forming a personnel field practical TF team to discuss grievances and suggestions by job series for transparent personnel improvements.

The improved personnel system includes △ introduction of important job-based pay system for heavy and undesirable departments △ operation of professional positions system to secure expertise △ implementation of advance notice system for transparent personnel management.

Additionally, the county has actively worked to achieve work performance through efficient personnel management by conducting personnel exchanges with related organizations to register the ‘Muan Ecological Tidal Flat,’ a pledge of the 8th local government, as a UNESCO World Heritage, passing the review of the tentative list of World Heritage.

Governor Kim San said, “We will continue to attempt personnel innovations in various fields and improve unreasonable personnel practices to do our best to enhance the productivity of the public service community.”
