Nominated for Best Foreign Language Series Award
Disney+'s Moving and Netflix's The Glory and Mask Girl have been nominated for Best Foreign Language Series at the Critics Choice Awards in the United States. The Critics Choice Association (CCA), which organizes the event, announced the three works as nominees on the 6th (Korean time).
The awards ceremony honors the best films and series each year for their achievements. Among Korean works, Squid Game won Best Foreign Language Series and Best Actor (Lee Jung-jae) in March last year, and Pachinko received Best Foreign Language Series in January this year. This year's ceremony will be held on January 14 next year.
Moving is a drama about children living in the present while hiding their supernatural powers and parents who have lived in the past hiding painful secrets. It gained huge popularity, leading Disney+’s resurgence.
The Glory is a drama about a woman whose soul was shattered by childhood violence and who dedicates her entire life to a desperate revenge. It was so successful that it ranked first in viewing hours across Netflix TV and film categories.
Mask Girl tells the story of Kim Momi, an ordinary office worker with an appearance complex who becomes involved in unintended incidents while working as an internet broadcast BJ. It attracted great attention, ranking first in the Netflix TV (non-English) category in its second week after release.
