Achieved 160% Increase in 3-Year Target
Next Year's Goal: 278 Million Won
Yeongdeok-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, held the launch ceremony for the Hope 2024 Sharing Campaign in front of the government office on the 5th, aiming for "Yeongdeok united as one through sharing."
The event was attended by various figures from the region, including County Governor Kim Gwang-yeol, County Council Chairman Son Deok-su, heads of local organizations and social groups, members of the Yeongdeok-gun Fruit of Love Sharing Volunteer Group, and local residents.
The launch ceremony consisted of talent donation performances from various sectors, the unveiling of the Love Temperature Tower, and a relay fundraising event. Yeongdeok-gun will carry out the campaign to establish and revitalize a culture of sharing, aiming to raise 278 million KRW by January 31 next year, which is a 10% increase compared to last year.
Governor Kim Gwang-yeol stated, "Despite the recent COVID-19 situation and the difficult economy last year, the people of Yeongdeok-gun achieved an average of over 160% of the fundraising goal, demonstrating a community spirit to overcome hardships together." He added, "This culture of care and sharing is the strength to overcome today and the true driving force for the future."
