Mayor Jeong Myeong-geun, Kwon Chil-seung, chairman of the Democratic Party Hwaseong Byeong Regional Committee, provincial and city council members, and related officials attended the meeting held at Bongdam Hwaseong Citizens' University. The city explained that they agreed to make every effort to secure the remaining project funds and expedite the ongoing expansion and paving construction of National Road No. 43, which is being carried out by the Seoul Regional Land Management Office.

National Road No. 43, which runs through Bongdam-eup, is experiencing severe traffic congestion during commuting hours due to increased floating population from urban development such as apartment complexes and industrial complexes. The city added that the congestion is expected to worsen significantly once residents begin moving into large apartment complexes.

The party and government also agreed to consider dividing the construction sections to accelerate the expansion and paving project planned for City Road No. 31 between Catholic University and Jangan University, aiming to bring forward the resolution of traffic congestion.

Separately, as a short-term measure, the party and government discussed analyzing vehicle congestion during commuting hours to improve the traffic signal system.

Additionally, the party and government agreed to strive to secure project funds promptly for eight road expansion and paving projects, including Ja-an to Buncheon and Sugi to Buncheon, as well as for the opening of the urban planning road from Shindong-a Famille to Hyohang District.

Chairman Kwon Chil-seung stated, "I hope the project will be promoted by setting priorities through selection and concentration," and added, "The party and government will respond organically to changing circumstances and do their best to alleviate citizens' inconveniences."

Mayor Jeong Myeong-geun also said, "We are making every effort to promptly advance related projects to reduce citizens' inconveniences caused by delays in social infrastructure development," and added, "We will continue to discuss the various opinions mentioned at the council meeting with the Byeong Regional Committee to create a better city to live in."
