KB Financial Group announced on the 6th that it held the startup demo day, '2023 HUB Day.'
A demo day refers to an investment attraction activity where startups present their business direction, business model, and startup items to government nurturing and investment institutions, startup support organizations, venture capitalists, accelerators, and others.
Held under the theme 'Creating the Future with KB,' this HUB Day was conducted in three sessions: 'Drawing the Future,' 'Making the Future,' and 'Sharing the Future.' A total of 40 startups supported by KB Financial's startup nurturing program, 'KB Starters,' participated.
Additionally, representatives from government investment institutions such as the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development and Korea Growth Investment Corporation, as well as venture capital and accelerator representatives from MYSC and The Invention Lab, participated to discuss in-depth partnerships and collaborations with startup CEOs across various fields.
A KB Financial official stated, “KB Financial is actively supporting startups to grow into next-generation unicorn companies and is practicing finance that changes the world by promoting collaboration with these companies in various fields. We will continue to discover business models that can coexist with startups in the future.”
