This campaign involved employees growing native tree seeds such as oak at home for 100 days into saplings and then planting them in a forest. Over 100 employees participated, planting the saplings they nurtured at the Namujaramteo in Noeul Park, Mapo-gu, Seoul. The term "Sikjipsa" is a compound of "plant" and "butler," referring to people who care for companion plants.
The saplings returned to nature, totaling over 200 trees, are expected to grow into a forest, which could result in approximately 40 tons of carbon reduction over the saplings' life cycle.
A Hyundai Oilbank official stated, "By growing saplings at home with our children and keeping growth diaries, we were able to provide natural environmental education to the kids," adding, "We hope to participate in various environmental protection campaigns in the future."
