As you age, the fine wrinkles around your eyes and lips gradually deepen, and there are times when the temptation to get a prickly Botox injection at a dermatology clinic becomes strong. However, when it comes to actually getting the injection, concerns about pain, tolerance, or side effects often lead to hesitation. At times like this, I was recommended a cosmetic product that promises wrinkle-smoothing effects just by spritzing it at home, so I tried it without hesitation.
Medipill’s ‘Peptide9 Aqua Volume Tox Mist’ is literally a ‘spray-on Botox.’ It is also affectionately called ‘Tangle Mist’ or ‘Pore Tightener’ because it tightly firms the pores.
Most mist products cause the skin’s moisture to evaporate after a single spray, resulting in increased tightness and dryness. However, this product adheres to the skin instantly upon spraying, forming a thin collagen-like film that makes the skin feel smooth as if you had received Botox. When I first tried it, I was amazed at how plump my cheeks became, and I found myself spraying it several times a day.
The application method is simple. Hold the bottle about 20cm away from your face and spritz evenly so that a dewy glow forms across your skin. Thanks to this moisture barrier, it is ideal for preventing the skin from cracking in the dry winter weather.
However, to fully absorb the benefits of other functional cosmetics, apply them first and then spray this mist last as a ‘skin protective barrier.’ Also, applying makeup products like foundation or compact powder after spraying this mist may cause some pilling, so it is not recommended to spray it right before color makeup.
One more thing to note is that you need to pump the spray more than 10 times immediately after opening the product to release the contents. This product uses an airless container that draws up the contents by air pressure without a straw inside.
