HD Hyundai Construction Equipment Division Global Leaders Gather... Discuss Growth Strategy for Next Year

HD Hyundai Site Solutions, HD Hyundai Construction Equipment, and HD Hyundai Infracore Hold 'Global Workshop'

Global leaders from the three HD Hyundai construction machinery divisions gathered in one place to collaborate on advancing to the top-tier of the construction machinery market.

HD Hyundai Site Solutions, HD Hyundai Construction Equipment, and HD Hyundai Infracore announced that from the 4th to the 7th, they will hold a global workshop at the Pangyo HD Hyundai Global R&D Center and business sites. With over 85% of the global sales of the three construction machinery companies coming from overseas, the workshop, which was held last year, is being conducted again this year to share key personnel and management plans of overseas subsidiaries and to explore ways to achieve their goals.

This year’s workshop will be attended by HD Hyundai Site Solutions President Jo Young-cheol, President Lee Dong-wook, and Choi Cheol-gon, HD Hyundai Construction Equipment President, and HD Hyundai Infracore President Oh Seung-hyun, along with executives from the three companies, heads of overseas subsidiaries, and global local recruitment leaders, totaling 133 participants. They will share next year’s business plans and discuss strategies for growth. Specifically, they will address ▲integrated model development and differentiation strategies ▲product lineup expansion plans ▲strengthening competitiveness of industrial vehicles ▲smart construction machinery roadmap and new technology development, among other strategic tasks.

At the opening ceremony of the workshop on the 4th, HD Hyundai Vice Chairman Jung Ki-sun said, "As the construction machinery division has grown into a core business of the group, it is necessary to rigorously examine and verify whether the business strategies and market outlook hypotheses are valid," adding, "Since we are all gathered here, I hope that through passionate discussions, we will firmly establish strategic tasks and next year’s management plans."

A total of 25 local recruitment leaders from the three construction machinery companies are attending this event. They are working in seven countries including the United States, Belgium, Czech Republic, Norway, Indonesia, China, and India. Including local expatriates, the total number reaches 53, accounting for 43% of all participants. To enhance the understanding of corporate culture and domestic environment among overseas entrants, the three construction machinery companies have arranged special lectures on the HD Hyundai value system and tours of the Ulsan business site.

The construction machinery division plans to strengthen its position in advanced markets by expanding the COMPACT (small construction machinery) lineup and establishing a dedicated organization. Additionally, they announced plans to expand and integrate the operation of customization centers in North America and Europe (facilities that assemble semi-finished products supplied from Korea and provide customized products according to customer requirements).
