Every year during the summer and winter vacations, the university student administrative experience group is operated to allow students to experience public service.

Students work at the district office, public health center, community service centers, district libraries, welfare centers, and more, increasing their interest and understanding of district administration while receiving help in career choices.

A total of 80 people will be recruited this time. Forty people will be selected per session, with the first session running from January 2 to 29, and the second session from February 1 to 28. Working hours are five days a week, five hours a day, and the daily wage is 57,180 KRW based on the 2024 Gwangjin-gu living wage, with weekly holiday allowance applied.

Eligibility requires applicants to be enrolled or on leave from a two-year or higher university and registered as residents of Gwangjin-gu as of the application start date, December 4. However, students from the Korea National Open University, cyber universities, credit bank system, graduate students, and those who participated in last winter's or this summer's administrative experience group are excluded.

University students wishing to participate can apply through the online application board on the Gwangjin-gu Office website by 6 p.m. on the 11th.

Successful candidates will be selected through a random computerized draw and announced on the recruitment information and successful candidate notice section of the district office website at 6 p.m. on the 12th.

The district plans to assign students to various practical work sites by comprehensively considering departmental requests, applicants' preferences, and majors.

Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, "This is a great opportunity for university students who dream of public service or want to gain diverse experiences," and added, "We hope many local youths will show interest and participate."
