Targeting March 2026 Opening... Future-Oriented Vocational High School
On the 4th, Osan City in Gyeonggi Province signed a business agreement at City Hall with the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education and the Hwaseong Osan Office of Education to convert the Segyo Artificial Intelligence (AI) Specialized High School, scheduled to open in 2026, into a Meister High School.

Meister High Schools (industry-demand customized high schools) are high schools that operate customized curricula directly linked to industry demand to advance specialized vocational education.
Through this business agreement, the city and the education offices agreed to convert Segyo AI Specialized High School (tentatively named Segyo 2-1 High School) into Segyo AI Meister High School and to cooperate in ▲ nurturing talent in the software (SW) field required by the future industrial society ▲ operating future-oriented vocational high schools that can satisfy the demands of vocational education consumers.
The three institutions plan to cooperate as a preemptive measure for the Meister High School conversion by ▲ providing human and physical infrastructure for operating AI curricula ▲ supporting the operation of industry-academia customized classes for employment through connections with AI software-related companies.
Lee Kwon-jae, Mayor of Osan City, stated, "If Segyo AI Meister High School is designated, it will be the only Meister High School in the AI and SW fields in Gyeonggi Province," and added, "Through this, it is expected to become the center of AI digital education in Gyeonggi Province."
