Based on the webtoon of the same name on Naver, the series 'Weak Hero 2' depicts the harrowing survival story and brilliant growth tale of Yeon Si-eun, a model student who transfers to Eunjanggo High School carrying the trauma of standing up to violence for a friend but ultimately failing to protect them. Determined never to lose a friend again, she confronts even greater violence.

Park Ji-hoon said, "My heart is already pounding. 'Weak Hero' is a precious work that gave me my first rookie award as an actor. I will work hard to show a new and more grown-up side of myself, as much as you have anticipated."

The previous installment cast many rookie actors and paired a rookie director with fresh faces to create synergy. 'Weak Hero 2' also features many new faces. Ryeo-un (as Park Hu-min), Choi Min-young (as Seo Jun-tae), and Lee Min-jae (as Go Hyun-tak) appear as precious friends Yeon Si-eun (Park Ji-hoon) meets at Eunjanggo after transferring.

Yoo Soo-bin (as Choi Hyo-man), who faced off with Yeon Si-eun in a tense confrontation at the end of Season 1, also appears in Season 2. Bae Na-ra (as Na Baek-jin) and Lee Jun-young (as Geum Seong-je) play members of an alliance portrayed as a greater violence and adversary that Yeon Si-eun and her friends must confront.

The series is planned and overseen by director Han Jun-hee, with script and direction by director Yoo Soo-min, action choreography by stunt director Heo Myung-haeng from the previous installment, music direction by Primary, and editing by director Park Min-seon, all reuniting.

Director Han Jun-hee said, "Hey guys, welcome. It's your first time at Eunjanggo, right? I'm already excited to work with actors I've admired as a fan. It looks like it will be a very energetic set."
