Junggu Large Waste Disposal Reporting Becomes More Convenient

Seoul Jung-gu Signs Agreement for Large Waste Easy Reporting Service 'Ppaegi'

Junggu Large Waste Disposal Reporting Becomes More Convenient

Starting next year, residents of Jung-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Kim Gil-seong) will be able to dispose of large waste more conveniently.

The district signed a business agreement last month on the 23rd with Gatta Co., Ltd. (CEO Ko Jae-seong), the operator of the large waste easy reporting service ‘Bbaegi’.

‘Bbaegi’ is a service that allows users to easily request large waste collection via smartphone or PC. Users simply enter waste-related information and attach a photo of the large waste. There is no need to call waste disposal companies separately, and applications can be made anytime, 24 hours a day, making it very convenient.

After paying the designated fee according to the type and size of the large waste, a unique ‘Bbaegi number’ is issued. Users just need to write this number on paper, attach it to the waste, and then dispose of it.

Additionally, by paying a certain fee through ‘Bbaegi’, users can use the ‘Naeryeodeurim’ (Delivery) service, which transports heavy waste such as wardrobes and sofas to a designated location. Also, through the ‘Used Goods Purchase’ service, users can sell or share secondhand items that are too valuable to throw away, promoting resource circulation.

The ‘Bbaegi’ service will be available starting January 2024. Users can download the app for free from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, or apply through the website.

Kim Gil-seong, Mayor of Jung-gu, said, “Starting next year, it will be easier to report waste disposal,” and added, “We will continue to carefully review and improve administrative procedures from the residents’ perspective to ensure there are no inconveniences.”
