PharmGen Science Appoints Song Ridda as New Head of Global R&D Center

PharmGen Science announced on the 1st that it has recruited Vice President Song Ridda as the head of the global research and development (R&D) center established this year.

New Center Director Song Ridda graduated from Ewha Womans University College of Pharmacy and earned a Ph.D. from Toulouse III University in France. Since 1996, she has been recognized as an expert with 28 years of experience in new drug development. The company stated, "She is expected to play a key role in successfully growing PharmGen Science into a new drug development pharmaceutical company."


In particular, based on her extensive experience in new drug development, the plan is to successfully lead the global launch of gastrointestinal new drugs currently under development by 2030, while simultaneously securing multiple new drug pipelines composed of chemical and biological products.


Center Director Song said, “In addition to the current new drug pipeline, we will build core R&D capabilities in areas with high aging and global unmet medical needs, such as autoimmune diseases, degenerative diseases, and pain. We will also focus on developing improved new drugs and lead the center around three pillars: new drugs, improved new drugs, and global business.”
