Jeon Seung-il, a member of the Gwangju Metropolitan City Seo-gu Council, announced on the 1st that the 'Urban Regeneration Project Post-Management Ordinance' was enacted during the 2nd regular session of the 317th meeting.
The ordinance includes ▲establishment of an urban regeneration post-management plan before project completion ▲post-management projects, inspections, and support for urban regeneration ▲annual reporting of post-management plans and inspections.
Councilor Jeon explained, "Urban regeneration projects are underway with a budget of 47.3 billion KRW invested in five districts of Seo-gu, and a total of 31 base facilities have been created. These facilities can be operated free of charge under consignment, but there are no projects, management, or post-plans utilizing them."
He added, "With the enactment of this ordinance, I hope that Seo-gu's urban regeneration projects will become an opportunity for the urban regeneration areas to further develop, along with revitalizing the local community, creating jobs, and strengthening residents' capabilities."
