Air Zoom Unit, Carbon Fiber Plate, and ZoomX Foam Combination
Enhanced Stability, Comfort, and Propulsion... Lightest Model Ever
Available for Purchase from January 4 Next Year
Nike announced on the 1st that it has unveiled its new running shoe, the 'Alphafly 3'.
The Alphafly gained attention when Eliud Kipchoge, a marathon runner sponsored by Nike, broke the 2-hour barrier wearing the Alphafly Next% prototype in September 2019.
Nike stated that the Alphafly 3 is the lightest model among all Alphafly versions to date. It retains the elements runners love while focusing on enhancing lightness, stability, comfort, and propulsion.
First, the shoe is equipped with 'Nike Air Zoom' to help all runners surpass marathon limits regardless of their pace, according to the company. It also features the 'high-stack ZoomX foam midsole' favored by marathoners, providing light cushioning and comfort over long distances from the start to the latter stages of a marathon.
Additionally, the sole extends continuously from the heel to the forefoot, a design introduced for the first time in the Alphafly 3. This helps the runner's movement transition smoothly from heel to toe, following the natural gait pattern. Furthermore, the 'dual Nike Air Zoom units' applied to improve energy return and propulsion absorb ground impact and return energy to the runner, while the wider 'full-length carbon fiber plate' offers powerful propulsion and stability.
The Nike Alphafly 3 will be released in the 'Prototype' colorway. It will be available from January 4 next year on Nike.com, the Nike application (app), and major stores nationwide.
