29CM, Rapid Growth in Home Category... "Transaction Volume Up 64%"

29CM announced on the 30th that the cumulative transaction amount in the home category this year has increased by more than 64% compared to the same period last year as of the 29th, drawing attention as 29CM's representative curation following women's fashion.

29CM carefully selected and introduced various styles of living brands, from premium furniture to home decor, lighting, and gardening, for customers aged 25 to 39 who want to decorate their space according to their tastes. The number of customers purchasing home products increased by 37% compared to last year, with those aged 25 to 39 accounting for more than 70% of the buyers, showing strong response from the younger generation. In particular, the more highly engaged fashion consumers were, the more products needed to decorate their space they purchased. Demand for high-priced items such as chairs, lighting, and shelves noticeably increased.

The transaction amount for furniture items, representing the home category, grew by more than 89% from January to October this year compared to the same period last year. Notably, the start of online purchases of premium living brands such as B&B Italia and New Tendency, which were mainly showcased only in offline stores and are exclusively available on 29CM, is also worth attention.

The product group experiencing the steepest growth is tableware. Compared to the same period last year, the transaction amount increased by over 88%. This was largely due to the effect of selecting European-based brands with well-developed tableware cultures and introducing them to domestic consumers. Tableware brands boasting excellent quality based on unique designs, such as Finland's Iittala, Denmark's Royal Copenhagen, France's Staub, Germany's Villeroy & Boch, and the UK's Denby, were chosen by 29CM consumers.

Lighting and home fabric products also recorded high growth rates. The lighting sector, which attracted attention by discovering brands such as Artemide, Flos, FF Collective, and Ilkwang Bulb, is expected to continue its growth trend with transaction amounts increasing by more than 30% this year. Demand for home fabric items that can add a point of interest to interior design also rapidly increased, resulting in about a 73% rise in transaction amounts compared to the previous year.

A 29CM representative said, "As a result of presenting dense curation centered on brands and product power, we were able to meet diverse needs from single-person households to customers entering premium living," adding, "We plan to diversify content that can showcase brand heritage and increase offline customer touchpoints for home brands centered on the premium living store TTRS (TTRS) going forward."
