Dobong-gu Selected as Best District in 2023 Seoul Autonomous District Comprehensive Food Hygiene Evaluation
Evaluation Conducted Across 25 Seoul Districts Based on 7 Categories and 23 Indicators
High Ratings in All Areas Including Food Poisoning Response and Food Service Establishment Management
Dobong-gu (District Mayor Oh Eon-seok) was selected as the Best District in the 2023 Seoul Metropolitan Government's Comprehensive Evaluation of Food Hygiene in Autonomous Districts. This marks the fifth consecutive year of selection, following four years as an Excellent District.
This evaluation was conducted based on 23 indicators across 7 categories from January 1 to September 30, 2023, in accordance with Article 24, Paragraph 3 of the Seoul Metropolitan Government's Basic Ordinance on Food Safety.
The district received high scores in all areas, including ▲response to food poisoning and management of food service establishments ▲improvement of dietary habits ▲food safety management infrastructure ▲inspection guidance and sample testing performance ▲handling of food hygiene complaints ▲and integrity and courteous administrative services, leading to its selection as the Best District. Consequently, the district secured an incentive of 30 million KRW.
Oh Eon-seok, Mayor of Dobong-gu, stated, “I am pleased that the district’s continuous efforts in food hygiene management have been recognized through this Best District selection. We will continue to do our best to create a safe food environment that residents can trust and enjoy.”
