Completed Performance Evaluation with Domestic Large Corporations
Contract Signed with Micro LED Company... Delivery Within the Year
NanoX (CEO Park Doojin) announced on the 29th that it has succeeded in mass-producing a 'microLED inspection probe card' implementing technology with a pitch (the distance between pins) of 10 micrometers (1㎛ = one-millionth of a meter) or less. A probe card is a device that connects semiconductor chips to testing equipment to inspect the operation of semiconductors.
MicroLED is considered a core component of next-generation displays and wearable devices, but due to equipment characteristics, essential inspections must be conducted at sizes below 30 micrometers, about one-third the thickness of a human hair, making commercialization slow. NanoX explained that to solve this problem, it has succeeded in establishing a mass production system for the smallest existing microLED inspection probe card based on its proprietary technology.
Based on this, NanoX conducted performance evaluations of microLED inspection equipment and probe cards with a major domestic company this month, and recently signed a supply contract with a global microLED company. Additionally, it is currently discussing contracts with numerous domestic and international global companies.
Park Doojin, CEO of NanoX, said, "Global IT companies such as Samsung and Apple have adopted microLED as the next-generation display, but due to the lack of inspection and repair technology, mass production and commercialization have been slow. We expect to revitalize the display market by becoming the world's first to succeed in mass-producing inspection probe cards tailored to microLED characteristics with our independent technology and know-how."
