The Gyeongbuk Goryeong-gun Branch of the Association of Persons with Physical Disabilities (Acting Branch Chief Kim Young-ok) held a Women's Disabled Persons' Self-Reliance Practice Contest and Socialization Education on November 28 at Gayatgo Village, with the participation of about 140 local disabled persons, guardians, and volunteers.
The Goryeong County Branch of the Association for the Physically Disabled held the Women's Disabled Independence Practice Conference and Socialization Education.
The event began with an annual report on the Women's Self-Reliance Support Project of the Association of Persons with Physical Disabilities and focused on education to improve awareness of women with disabilities.
Not only members of the association but also executives and volunteers actively participated in the self-reliance practice contest, providing an opportunity to share diverse experiences of women with disabilities and grow together. It also motivated women with physical disabilities and contributed to enhancing diversity and inclusiveness in the local community.
Acting Branch Chief Kim Young-ok of the Association of Persons with Physical Disabilities expressed, “Through the Women's Disabled Persons' Self-Reliance Practice Contest, we aim to promote better social participation of women with disabilities, inspire their will for socialization, and contribute to creating a social environment that recognizes diversity.”
