"United to Revitalize the Hometown Love Donation System... Will Actively Promote"
On the 28th, Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 29th that it held a business agreement ceremony with Taeyoung TS Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Chun-gyu) to promote the Hometown Love Donation Program.
At the ceremony, attended by CEO Kim Chun-gyu of Taeyoung TS and related personnel, Taeyoung TS agreed to promote the Hometown Love Donation Program to its employees and related population, while Damyang-gun pledged to support these promotional activities.
Taeyoung TS is a road facility maintenance company, and CEO Kim Chun-gyu is a native of Geumseong-myeon, Damyang-gun. In September, he actively participated in donation activities for Damyang-gun by providing scholarships of 500,000 won each to 15 students of Geumseong Middle School in Damyang-gun.
At the ceremony, CEO Kim Chun-gyu also donated to the Hometown Love Donation Fund of Damyang-gun.
CEO Kim Chun-gyu said, “I took the initiative hoping to contribute even a little to the activation of the Damyang-gun Hometown Love Donation Program,” and added, “I will actively engage in promotional activities for the development of my hometown Damyang where I was born and raised.”
County Governor Lee Byung-no said, “I hope this agreement ceremony will serve as a catalyst to invigorate the Damyang-gun Hometown Love Donation Program,” and added, “With the hometown love you have conveyed, we will continue to do our best for regional development.”
Meanwhile, the Hometown Love Donation Program allows individuals to donate up to 5 million won annually to local governments (metropolitan or basic) other than their place of residence. Donations up to 100,000 won are fully tax-deductible, and the excess amount receives a 16.5% tax credit, with thank-you gifts provided within 30% of the donation amount.
