April 28 Book Launch at Sinchon Hebrus
Stories with President Yoon to Be Introduced
Preparing to Run for Incheon Yeonsu-gu Eul in April General Election
Former presidential office deputy spokesperson Kim Ki-heung is publishing a book declaring a break from 'old-fashioned politics.' Preparing to run for Incheon Yeonsu-eul in next year's general election, Kim shares the reasons for leaving the Korea Broadcasting System (KBS), where he worked for 19 years, and the motivation behind his entry into politics through his first book, "Reflections on the Era of Inciting Anger."
In line with this, former deputy spokesperson Kim will hold a book launch event at 2 p.m. on the 28th at Hebrus in Sinchon, Mapo-gu, Seoul, where he plans to share his thoughts from his long career as a journalist, the presidential election period, the Presidential Transition Committee, and his time working at the presidential office. In particular, he will introduce anecdotes about President Yoon Suk-yeol during the election period, when he served as the 'No. 1 car' driver for then-presidential candidate Yoon and closely assisted him. He will convey President Yoon’s warm perspective toward people, his unpretentious and approachable demeanor, consideration for those around him, and reveal the place President Yoon visited when he was demoted to Daegu during the National Intelligence Service’s comment investigation.
Former deputy spokesperson Kim also pointed out that the recent controversy involving Democratic Party lawmaker Choi Kang-wook, who caused a stir by saying, "Even in Animal Farm, there are rarely 'female' characters causing trouble," and who defiantly defended his remarks, is also part of the politics of inciting anger.
Having worked as a journalist at KBS for 19 years, former deputy spokesperson Kim was a 'founding member' who joined President Yoon’s campaign team in 2021. After the election, he worked in the Presidential Transition Committee and the spokesperson’s office, serving until earlier this month as senior administrative officer and deputy spokesperson in the public relations chief’s office. Kim is preparing to run for Incheon Yeonsu-gu-eul in the general election scheduled for April next year. He has been residing in Songdo International City, Incheon, since 2012.
