The Lumpiskin Central Accident Response Headquarters (CARH) announced on the 26th at 8 a.m. that the number of confirmed domestic cases of bovine Lumpiskin remains at 107.
This figure covers cases confirmed from the 20th of last month to the 20th of this month. No new confirmed cases have been reported from the 21st to the previous day.
Separately, the CARH is conducting tests on one suspected report.
Lumpiskin is a viral disease transmitted by blood-sucking insects such as mosquitoes and biting midges. Infected cattle exhibit symptoms such as high fever and skin nodules (lumps).
