Busan City will hold the ‘2023 Busan Tourism Venture Festival’ at 2 p.m. on the 27th at the Busan Tourism Enterprise Support Center (located in Yeongdo-gu).
A tourism venture refers to a convergent tourism company that combines traditional tourism with information and communication technology (ICT), culture and arts, sports and leisure, and other fields.
This event is hosted by Busan City and organized by the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam (Bu-Ul-Gyeong) Tourism Venture Council (Chairman Shin Seongjae) to support the growth and discovery of tourism ventures.
Under the theme ‘Connecting Bu-Ul-Gyeong Tourism,’ the event will be held from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. and will feature a variety of programs including ▲Opening Ceremony ▲Bu-Ul-Gyeong Tourism Talkseol ▲Tourism Venture Forum ▲Networking ▲and side events.
The ‘Bu-Ul-Gyeong Tourism Talkseol’ is an event where participants engage in free-form talks led by a moderator. Representatives from the Bu-Ul-Gyeong Tourism Venture Council will lead open conversations with members about trends in Bu-Ul-Gyeong tourism companies, tourism trends, and the future vision of Bu-Ul-Gyeong tourism enterprises.
The ‘Tourism Venture Forum,’ which connects the present and future of Bu-Ul-Gyeong tourism, will be divided into two sessions. The first session will cover population decline in Bu-Ul-Gyeong and examples of tourism content, while the second session will focus on analysis of the current state and future of Bu-Ul-Gyeong tourism. After each session’s presentation by the speakers, there will be a Q&A session with all participants.
Following this, the event will conclude with a networking session where Bu-Ul-Gyeong tourism venture companies introduce and share their services and products with each other.
From 2 p.m., when the event begins, promotional booths and photo zones of Bu-Ul-Gyeong tourism venture companies will be simultaneously operated throughout the Busan Tourism Enterprise Support Center.
Park Geunrok, Director of the Tourism MICE Bureau, stated, “The platform market in the tourism sector is rapidly growing through the integration of information and communication technology (ICT), and experiential tourism is expanding through various convergences among industries.” He added, “We will actively support Busan’s tourism ventures to lead the rapidly changing tourism trends through diverse combinations of technologies and services among tourism venture companies.”
