The Nostalgic Item Returns: iRiver Micky Earphones Sold Out in One Day

Dreamus Company's lifestyle brand IRIVER announced on the 24th that the wireless Bluetooth earphones ‘Mplayer Free,’ released in collaboration with Disney, sold out 7,000 units within one day of opening the Wadiz pre-order.

The ‘Mplayer Free,’ introduced by IRIVER for the first time in 16 years, is an evolved version of the ‘Mplayer’ MP3 player, which was the number one product that IRIVER customers wanted to see again. It was reborn as wireless earphones reflecting the iconic three-circle design shaped like the Mickey Mouse character. Sales began at 5 PM on the 22nd through Wadiz pre-order at 49,800 KRW, and the prepared quantity of 7,000 units sold out within a day. As the Mplayer was a representative product of IRIVER, it attracted enthusiastic interest not only from customers nostalgic for that era but also from fans who love Mickey Mouse.

The ‘Mplayer Free’ offers excellent sound and call quality with vivid audio and low noise through a dynamic driver, and its true wireless stereo (TWS) features a 6mm vibrating unit that delivers richer and more diverse bass. Equipped with Bluetooth version 5.3 officially certified by SIG, it provides excellent connectivity and allows uninterrupted music listening. It can be used continuously for up to 10 hours without battery worries.

Its intuitive operation is also an advantage. The click system allows convenient user experience by enabling control without looking directly. Functions such as playing the previous track and answering calls can be operated using the button on Mickey’s ear part. Additionally, it has received IPX4 certification for strong water resistance, making it resistant to sweat, rain, and splashes during outdoor activities.

The earphones are available in four colors: Black, White, Sky Blue, and Baby Pink, allowing users to choose according to their preferences. The package includes a hard clear case to prevent loss and scratches, as well as a versatile dedicated neck strap.

The official retail price is 69,000 KRW. Starting from the 27th, pre-orders will be conducted sequentially through various channels such as Naver and 11st at 59,800 KRW.

Baek Chang-heum, Head of IRIVER Co. at Dreamus Company, said, “We are releasing the wireless earphones of Mplayer for the first time in 16 years through collaboration with Disney, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary. We plan to continue launching lifestyle products that embody IRIVER’s design heritage, as well as collaborating with various brands in the future.”
