Busan Port Authority Participates in Asia Logistics, Maritime, and Aviation Conference

Busan Port Authority (BPA) participated in the 2023 Asia Logistics Maritime and Aviation Conference (ALMAC) held in Hong Kong from the 21st to the 22nd.


Organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), this event was attended by over 5,000 participants from more than 30 countries over two days. Busan Port Authority jointly participated with the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, Incheon, Ulsan, Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authorities, and the Korea Ocean Business Corporation to promote various port sales activities.


During the event, BPA operated a promotional booth for the Busan Port hinterland complex. Through one-on-one business meetings with logistics companies, they actively engaged in investment attraction activities by providing detailed explanations of the hinterland complex business model and various support systems.


On the second day of the event, a small-scale investment attraction briefing was held for logistics companies interested in Busan Port. The briefing provided detailed explanations on the policy direction for the hinterland complex, the logistics environment of Busan Port, and the conditions for entering the hinterland complex, followed by a Q&A session.

Currently, in the New Port, 30 companies are located in the North Container hinterland complex, and 39 companies are in the Ungdong hinterland complex, generating approximately 2 million TEU of cargo and over 600 billion KRW in sales as of 2022.


Ku Ja-rim, head of BPA’s Global Business Division, stated, “BPA is developing, operating, and managing the port hinterland logistics complex in cooperation with the government to foster Busan Port as a global hub for port logistics. We will do our best to actively promote the attractiveness of the hinterland complex to global logistics companies.”
