Galaxy Z Flip5 Maison Margiela Edition Released
Samsung Electronics unveiled the 'Galaxy Z Flip5 Maison Margiela Edition,' a collaboration with the Paris haute couture house brand 'Maison Margiela,' on the 23rd.
This edition, born from the second collaboration between Samsung Electronics and Maison Margiela, combines the innovative technology of the Galaxy foldable smartphone with Maison Margiela's unique design aesthetics and craftsmanship. The previous model, the Galaxy Z Flip4 Maison Margiela Edition, set a record by selling out in just 8 seconds in Korea.
The 'Galaxy Z Flip5 Maison Margiela Edition' features an optical illusion graphic on the back design of the Galaxy Z Flip5 that looks like viewing the inside of a jacket through an X-ray. This reflects Maison Margiela's design philosophy that values the essence of both the exterior and interior.
The edition also includes a flap leather case and a flipsuit case designed by Maison Margiela. The flap leather case applies Maison Margiela's distinctive aesthetics with luxurious black leather and white pocket pattern stitching. The flipsuit case comes with two types of Flipsuit Cards. Using NFC technology, the cards?a paint drop design card unique to Maison Margiela and a silver card engraved with numbering?offer differentiated themes on the Galaxy Z Flip5's cover screen, the 'Flex Window.'
A special package box is also provided. Inspired by a fashion designer's storage box, the package box is made of fabric-textured paper material and expresses Maison Margiela's unique basting stitch. Customers who purchase the product can enjoy a fresh unboxing experience as if taking clothes out of a storage box. Additionally, a smartphone charger featuring Maison Margiela's numbering design is included.
The 'Galaxy Z Flip5 Maison Margiela Edition' will be sold in limited quantities in Korea, China, and Hong Kong. In Korea, sales will be conducted through a lottery on Samsung.com. The price is 2,497,000 KRW for the 512GB storage model. Customers wishing to purchase can apply through Samsung.com from 9 AM to 5 PM on the 30th. Winners will be announced at 9 AM on December 1st.
Meanwhile, the 'Galaxy Z Flip5 Maison Margiela Edition' will be exhibited from the 23rd at 'Samsung Gangnam' and the Samsung Store Hongdae branch.
