Operation of Nodulnaru Park Public Parking Lot in Dongjak-gu Begins

Open 24/7 Year-Round Starting the 23rd... Enhancing Convenience for Park Visitors and Residents

Operation of Nodulnaru Park Public Parking Lot in Dongjak-gu Begins

Dongjak-gu (Mayor Park Il-ha) announced that the Nodle Naru Park public parking lot, equipped with the latest unmanned floor parking control system, will be fully operational starting on the 23rd.

A systematic system has been established to resolve inconveniences caused by long-term parked vehicles within Nodle Naru Park and to increase parking turnover, thereby restoring the parking lot's original function.

The district installed floor control devices and unmanned payment systems in 20 public parking spaces to ensure smooth parking lot operation.

When a vehicle is parked, the control device on the floor automatically rises to detect the vehicle and calculate the parking time and fee. Upon exit, after paying the parking fee at the unmanned payment machine near the parking space, the floor control device lowers, allowing the vehicle to leave the parking lot.

Prior to this, the district conducted a public parking lot survey in February to identify unauthorized storage and long-term parked vehicles, and collected opinions on public parking lot operation from users of Nodle Naru Park sports facilities.

For residents unfamiliar with the system, a three-week pilot operation period was held from October 31. On-site staff guided users on how to use the system and checked its proper functioning.

The Nodle Naru Park public parking lot operates 24 hours a day, year-round, with a fee of 300 KRW per 5 minutes.

Fences and security lights separating the park and parking lot have been installed, and operational issues will be improved through continuous resident promotion and monitoring.

Park Il-ha, Mayor of Dongjak-gu, stated, “With the introduction of this unmanned payment system, not only will labor costs be reduced, but many residents will be able to conveniently use the parking spaces.”
