Meanwhile, King Charles III of the United Kingdom, who invited President Yoon on a state visit, said during the state banquet, "If the UK has Danny Boyle, Korea has Bong Joon-ho; if James Bond has Squid Game, then The Beatles' Let It Be has BTS' Dynamite."
Earlier, in his speech to the UK Parliament, President Yoon proposed expanding cultural cooperation and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries, stating, "If the UK is the country of The Beatles, Queen, Harry Potter, and David Beckham, then Korea is the country of BTS, Blackpink, Squid Game, and Son Heung-min." King Charles's remarks are interpreted as a response to this.
