Ministry of Industry Hosts the '2023 Engineering Festival'

The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy announced that it will hold the '2023 Engineering Festival' from the 20th to the 22nd at the Africa Colosseum in Sangam, Seoul.

The main event, the ‘Creative Integrated Design Competition,’ saw participation from 172 teams representing 73 engineering colleges nationwide. Capstone design projects created by undergraduate engineering students in collaboration with companies are being judged by experts and engineering students both online and offline. A total of 13 teams will be awarded, including one Prime Minister's Award and 12 Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Awards.

On the 21st, the final round of the ‘Industry-Academia Project Challenge,’ a competition with 489 teams of master's and doctoral students participating, will also take place. A total of 20 outstanding industry-academia project cases are expected to be discovered.

Side events include the ‘Engineering Quiz Show,’ where participants solve engineering knowledge questions online, and the ‘Engineering Scenario Planning IF’ contest, which invites the general public to submit video content imagining future industries.

Since 2007, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy has been promoting the ‘Creative Convergence Engineering Talent Development Support Project,’ supporting 73 engineering education innovation centers nationwide.
