Cultural Tourism Exchange Meeting and Tour of Pohang's Representative Attractions Including Spacewalk

This fam tour was the first exchange event promoted since the friendship cooperation exchange agreement between Pohang City and Haeundae-gu on the 27th of last month. It was organized to share the current status of Pohang's tourism and policies related to the tourism special zone and to promote mutual development between the two cities.
Before the fam tour, members of festival-related organizations, including the Pohang Yeongilman Tourism Special Zone Council and the Haeundae Festival Committee, held a meeting at Pohang City Hall to share best practices for revitalizing tourism special zones and discussed future cultural tourism exchange plans between the two cities.
After the meeting, through the fam tour, participants had the opportunity to visit and experience representative tourist sites such as Space Walk, which has attracted one million visitors annually since its opening in November 2021; Guryongpo Japanese House Street, famous as a filming location for dramas like "When the Camellia Blooms"; and Park1538, where visitors can learn about POSCO's history and future.
Mayor Lee Kang-deok said, “As Pohang City and Haeundae-gu, both maritime cultural tourism cities with many commonalities, signed a friendship cooperation exchange agreement last month, we will strive to continuously promote public-private exchange and cooperation in various fields including tourism, starting with this fam tour invited by Haeundae-gu, so that the two cities can develop together.”
