The creation of the 'Osaek Dullegil,' a trail that allows visitors to walk around and explore major attractions in Osan City, Gyeonggi Province, has been completed.

On the 17th, Osan City announced that it has completed the construction of the Osaek Dullegil, a 17 km circular trail following the city's main attractions. This project was a campaign pledge of Mayor Lee Gwon-jae during the 8th local government term, with a total budget of 500 million KRW invested.

The Osaek Dullegil is divided into five courses: ▲Course 1 Gapgol Forest Trail ▲Course 2 Seoksan Forest Trail ▲Course 3 Nojeok Forest Trail ▲Course 4 Doksan Forest Trail ▲Course 5 Yeogye Forest Trail. Each course is characterized by its connection to major tourist attractions in the Osan area, according to the city.

'Gapgol Forest Trail' is a 2.6 km forest path connected to Seodong Reservoir. Around Seodong Reservoir, located west of Segyo 2 District, there is a waterside park equipped with various leisure facilities such as walking paths and gateball courts.

The 3.6 km Seoksan Forest Trail adjoins Gwolrisa Shrine and Mulhyanggi Arboretum. Gwolrisa, Gyeonggi Province Monument No. 147, is a shrine established by Gong Seorin, a Joseon Dynasty scholar and descendant of Confucius, to teach his disciples. 'Mulhyanggi Arboretum' is a representative tourist attraction of Osan. The city is planning to hold day and night light festivals in the arboretum area.

'Nojeok Forest Trail' is a 3.7 km forest path connected to Seorang Reservoir. The city explained that it is planning a deck road connecting the entire Seorang Reservoir.

'Doksan Forest Trail' is a walking path encompassing Doksanseong Fortress and Sema Site. Doksanseong Fortress and Sema Site are known for a story from the Imjin War where General Kwon Yul tricked the enemy by pretending to wash rice on his horse to make it seem like there was enough water inside the fortress. It is a popular Osan attraction, favored for its views of sunrise and sunset, attracting many visitors regularly.

The 2.9 km 'Yeogye Forest Trail' includes the Dolmen Park and is close to Segyo 1 and 2 Districts, making it an easily accessible trail in daily life.

Meanwhile, during the creation of the Osaek Dullegil, the city installed wooden stairs, coconut fiber mats, and placed signboards and direction markers at course connection points to make it easy for users to navigate. Next year, an additional 300 million KRW will be invested in the Gapgol Forest Trail to improve convenience and safety facilities and to carry out forest maintenance around the trail.

Mayor Lee said, "We will continue to maintain and manage the Osaek Dullegil to ensure that visitors can enjoy safe and comfortable hikes without inconvenience."
