NCSoft unveiled its new title, 'Battle Crush.'
NCSoft's brawl-style competitive action new game, ‘Battle Crush,’ held the ‘PLAY BATTLE CRUSH’ stage event on the 17th at the international game exhibition ‘G-STAR 2023.’
The event took place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the NC booth at G-STAR. The Battle Crush development team, including Captain Kang Hyung-seok from Rocket Camp, Planning Team Leader Kim Min-seong, and Art Director Han Ji-young, appeared to introduce the game and conduct various events.
Captain Kang Hyung-seok, who took the stage, explained the main features of the game. He said, “Battle Crush features concise but not simple combat action,” and added, “The representative mode, Battle Royale team match, aims to survive among collapsing terrain and enemies to become the last team standing.” He also stated, “It supports Nintendo Switch, mobile, and Steam, allowing players to enjoy it on their preferred platform.”
He then shared the schedule and development aspirations. Battle Crush will conduct a second closed beta test (CBT) in the first quarter of 2024. Captain Kang said, “I wanted to create a game where players don’t have to suffer from the pressure of having to perform well,” and added, “I hope everyone can enjoy Battle Crush in a cool and fun way starting next year.”
On the 17th, visitors are trying out 'Battlecrush' at the NCSoft booth during 'G-Star 2023' held at BEXCO in Busan.
Art Director Han Ji-young introduced the character traits and action direction. He said, “I thought Greek and Roman mythology, which inspired the main characters, is the most popular IP encompassing both Eastern and Western cultures,” and added, “We plan to create a conceptual world with various myths and characters from stories in the future.”
Planning Team Leader Kim Min-seong shared gameplay know-how. He said, “For victory, managing stamina, catching delays, and team play are important,” and added, “Besides these three elements, positioning, item usage, and understanding character traits are also necessary.”
The event also featured activities such as the ▲Battle Crush quiz and ▲mini-games, where participants could win various prizes. For users who could not attend in person, a live broadcast was streamed on NC’s official YouTube channel.
G-STAR visitors can experience Battle Crush firsthand by visiting the NC booth until the 19th. Using Nintendo Switch, players form teams of three to enjoy the Battle Royale mode with 30 participants.
