The Number of Passers for Next Year's Bar Exam is 1,730... Released in Advance

The number of successful candidates for the 13th Bar Examination, scheduled to be held from January 9 to 13 next year, has been disclosed in advance.

The Ministry of Justice announced on the 17th that the Bar Examination Management Committee has basically set the number of successful candidates for this exam at around 1,730, but will make the final decision in April next year considering the number of examinees and those with tied scores. This is the first time the number of successful candidates for the bar exam has been announced in advance.

The Ministry of Justice explained, "In order to enhance the predictability for examinees and their right to know, unlike before, we have decided to disclose the range of successful candidates and the decision criteria in advance."

Next year's bar exam essay section will be conducted using a computer-based testing (CBT) method for the first time ever. Although handwriting is also allowed, 99% of examinees applied for CBT. Examinees can check the compliance guidelines regarding the use of electronic devices on the Ministry of Justice website. For examinees with disabilities, the Ministry of Justice has extended the exam time for case-type subjects (1.7 times for totally blind individuals, 1.4 times for those with severe physical disabilities, etc.) and assigned them to their preferred test centers.
