The Seoul Regional Headquarters of the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business held a 'Meeting to Expand the Yellow Umbrella' with the Seoul Small and Medium Business Association, a non-profit organization, in Jongno-gu, Seoul on the 16th, the 17th reported.
At the meeting, they listened to the difficulties faced by small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners in Seoul and discussed expanding the subscription incentive to support the enrollment of the Yellow Umbrella for small business owners facing increased hardships due to poor business conditions, aiming to strengthen the social safety net. Attendees included Jang Yoon-sung, head of the Seoul Regional Headquarters of the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business, Yang Taek-gyun, president of the Seoul Small and Medium Business Association, Ban Seok-yeop, senior vice president, Lee Kyung-wook, vice president, and chairpersons of small and medium business associations from 17 autonomous districts.
Yang Taek-gyun, president of the association, stated, “The Seoul Small and Medium Business Association, representing the field of small and medium enterprises and small business owners in Seoul, will work with the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business to create an environment where businesses can operate without worries.” He added, “We will support expanding the Yellow Umbrella subscription incentives currently provided in Seoul, including Yeongdeungpo, Eunpyeong, Dongjak, and Dobong districts, to other districts such as Nowon and Jongno, with the help of the chairpersons of the small and medium business associations.”
Jang Yoon-sung, head of the Seoul Regional Headquarters of the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business, said, “Just as the Yellow Umbrella has become a social safety net against business closure for 1.7 million small and medium enterprises and small business owners, we hope the Seoul Small and Medium Business Association will play a role in monitoring and assisting small and medium enterprises and small business owners in the autonomous districts.” He added, “We ask for active cooperation in promoting the Yellow Umbrella and introducing subscription incentives so that it can faithfully serve as a social safety net for small and medium enterprises and small business owners.”
