Gyeongnam Social Welfare Community Chest Donates Winter Heating Expenses to 67 Households in Namhae-gun

The Gyeongnam Community Chest of Korea visited Namhae County Office in Gyeongnam and donated 13.4 million won for winter heating expenses.

The Gyeongnam Community Chest of Korea donated winter expenses to Namhae County.

The heating expenses donated on the 16th will be provided at 200,000 won each to 67 vulnerable households to help them have a warm winter.

The Gyeongnam Community Chest of Korea consistently donates money and goods four times a year. In preparation for summer, they have supported various items such as summer blanket sets, neck coolers, and handheld fans, and during the Lunar New Year and Chuseok holidays, they provided 21 million won to 820 households in two rounds.

Park Eun-deok, Secretary General of the Gyeongnam Community Chest of Korea, said, “We thank the citizens of Namhae County who actively participate in the Hope Sharing Campaign every year. We ask for continued participation and interest this year to help foster a culture of donation in the local community.”

Jang Chung-nam, the county governor, said, “Thank you for visiting Namhae County. Thanks to your support, our residents can spend a warm winter.” He added, “Following last year, we will actively participate in the campaign this year as well to ensure warm hands reach neighbors in need.”

Meanwhile, the 2024 Hope Sharing Campaign is scheduled to continue for two months from December 1, 2023, to January 31, 2024, and on the morning of December 5, a Love Temperature Tower unveiling ceremony will be held in front of Namhae-eup Administrative Welfare Center.
