MG Saemaeul Geumgo Donates 50 Million Won Worth of Goods to Changwon City Food Bank

On the 16th, Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam announced that the MG Saemaeul Geumgo Central Association Ulsan Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters and the Saemaeul Geumgo Councils of Changwon, Masan, and Jinhae donated sponsorship goods worth 50 million KRW necessary for the operation of the Changwon Food Bank (Changwon, Masan, Jinhae).

The three Changwon Food Bank locations (Changwon, Masan, Jinhae) carry out sharing projects that provide food and daily necessities donated by companies or individuals free of charge to low-income neighbors.


Kang Sang-su, head of the Ulsan Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters, said, “I hope this will be a small help in delivering sharing to our neighbors in need in our region. We will continue to practice sharing activities through various social contribution projects.”


Jang Geum-yong, the first deputy mayor, said, “We thank the MG Saemaeul Geumgo Central Association Ulsan Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters and the Changwon Regional Saemaeul Geumgo Council for their generous support again this year following last year. This donation will be a great help to vulnerable groups struggling with high inflation.”


The MG Saemaeul Geumgo Central Association Ulsan Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters and the Changwon Regional Saemaeul Geumgo Council have been steadily practicing social contribution projects in the region, including delivering ▲ two refrigerated trucks worth 80 million KRW to the 2022 Changwon Hope Food Market and Jinhae Food Bank ▲ 1,350 canes of love to the Jinhae Western Senior Welfare Center ▲ 1,004 circulators worth 30 million KRW ▲ 5 million KRW in cash donations for cold-weather supplies for the homeless at the Changwon Municipal Welfare Center ▲ sponsorship goods worth 8 million KRW to four comprehensive social welfare centers in Changwon city in 2023.
