Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants Holds the 7th ESG Certification Forum

The Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants announced on the 16th that it will hold the '7th ESG Certification Forum.'


The forum, held on the 21st of this month, is titled 'Reading Session on the TCFD Recommendations Implementation and Scenario Analysis Guidelines for Non-Financial Companies.' Partners Park Kyung-sang of Han Young Accounting Corporation, Heo Gyu-man of Anjin Accounting Corporation, Shim Jae-kyung of Samil Accounting Corporation, and Jung Jae-wook of Samjung Accounting Corporation will present, reviewing the key contents of the TCFD recommendations implementation guidelines and scenario analysis guidelines for non-financial companies.


Kim Young-sik, President of the Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants, stated, "Not only the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) international sustainability disclosure standards but also the European Union's Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) climate disclosure regulations adopt the requirements of the TCFD recommendations, making the TCFD recommendations very important in sustainability disclosure." He added, "Accordingly, our institute provides official Korean translations of the two most utilized guidelines for applying the TCFD recommendations and holds reading sessions to help various stakeholders effectively respond to sustainability disclosures."
