Cellumed Signs Dental Powder Supply Contract... "Expecting Sales Growth and Profit Improvement Next Year"

Cellumed, a bio and medical device manufacturing specialist company (CEO Insoo Yoo), announced on the 16th that it has signed a supply contract for Dental Powder with Renew Medical, a dental medical device specialist company. The supply amount is at least 7 billion KRW annually.

Under this contract, Cellumed will supply Renewos, a Dental Powder product, and ODM products to Renew Medical. Allograft bone grafts, harvested from humans, are gaining significant attention in the dental industry due to their superior surgical efficiency and bone regeneration effects compared to xenograft bone grafts harvested from animals, and their demand is increasing.

Cellumed is advancing as a global bio and medical device specialist company with core businesses in ▲tissue banking ▲medical devices ▲growth factors ▲mRNA vaccine enzymes. In particular, it has been recognized for its technological capabilities by holding numerous patents for Bone Morphogenetic Protein (BMP2). The Bone Morphogenetic Protein, approved for sale by the U.S. FDA, is applied to damaged areas such as the spine and teeth and is used as a growth factor that accelerates bone regeneration.

Cellumed has completed the expansion of production facilities for its bio and medical device business, and the increased production volume has been reflected in the fourth quarter results. The establishment of an automated line has improved production efficiency, and with defect rate improvements, production volume is expected to increase by 50% compared to before.

A Cellumed official stated, “Along with the excellent product quality of Dental Powder and the recently expanded production capacity, we expect to expand orders through diversification of customers in the dental medical field and long-term supply contracts. Starting with this contract, we will contribute to sales growth and profit improvement next year by expanding supply not only of Dental Powder but also of DBM (Demineralized Bone Matrix) and ADM (Acellular Dermal Matrix) products.”
