Yongin City "Ask the Civil Complaint Consultation Chatbot"

Addition of 5 Sectors: Education, Safety, Jobs, Cultural Tourism, and Pets

Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 16th that it will add new features to the online civil complaint consultation system, 'Yongin City Civil Complaint Consultation Chatbot,' and provide the enhanced service.

'Yongin City Civil Complaint Consultation Chatbot' is an AI-based chat service that provides various municipal information. It can be accessed by searching for ‘Yongin City Civil Complaint Consultation Chatbot’ on the Yongin City Hall website, portal sites, or KakaoTalk channels.

The newly added consultation areas include ▲Education ▲Safety ▲Jobs ▲Culture and Tourism ▲Pets. The chatbot has incorporated 90 consultation topics in these five areas into the system, responding to a total of 367 questions. Previously, the chatbot provided consultations in nine areas: ▲Health and Welfare ▲Passports ▲Water Bills ▲Administrative Complaints ▲Local Taxes ▲Environment ▲Vehicle Registration ▲Traffic ▲Climate.

Through the improved chatbot functions, the city has also added a feature that allows citizens to report inconveniences they experience in daily life. When citizens report issues in 15 categories such as streetlight malfunctions, potholes, illegal dumping of garbage, roadkill, and road cleaning, the reports are automatically added to the civil complaint processing system. The results of the complaint handling are also notified to citizens via KakaoTalk.

For questions that the chatbot finds difficult to answer immediately, it will provide search results from the city’s website based on the relevant keywords to resolve citizens’ inquiries as much as possible.

A city official stated, "We will continue to manage the system so that the chatbot becomes a friendly consultant close to the citizens."
