Choi Jaecheon "Climate and Biodiversity Crisis"... MainBiz Association 'Good Morning CEO Learning' Lecture Choi Jaecheon, Ewha Womans University Distinguished Professor.

The Korea Management Innovation Small and Medium Business Association (MainBiz Association) announced on the 15th that it held the 127th 'Good Morning CEO Learning' session with a lecture by Choi Jae-cheon, Distinguished Professor at Ewha Womans University, conducted simultaneously online and offline at the Ambassador Seoul Pullman Hotel.


In this event, Professor Choi, the speaker, introduced the connection between the biodiversity crisis collapsing due to climate change?including the COVID-19 pandemic, hurricane damage, and floods?under the theme of ‘Ecological Transition? Climate and Biodiversity Crisis.’ He explained the necessity of an ecological life in harmony with nature through various examples. Professor Choi earned his Ph.D. in Biology from Harvard University Graduate School, served as a professor in the Department of Life Sciences at Seoul National University, co-chair of the Korea Federation for Environmental Movements, president of the Ecological Society of Korea, and the inaugural director of the National Institute of Ecology. He currently serves as Distinguished Professor in the Department of Eco-Science at Ewha Womans University and CEO of the Biodiversity Foundation.


Seok Yong-chan, president of the MainBiz Association, said, “Through this lecture, we hope to gain insights into the wisdom of ecological living in harmony with nature and to respond to changes in the global economy reshaped by climate change and ecological crises.”
