Internet security and harmful content filtering specialist company Plantynet announced on the 15th that its cumulative sales on a separate basis for the third quarter of this year reached 10.1 billion KRW, with an operating profit of 1.1 billion KRW, representing a 23.6% increase in sales compared to the same period last year and continued operating profit. Net profit for the period decreased by 4.8% to 1.8 billion KRW.
Separate basis sales for the third quarter were 3 billion KRW, a 0.8% decrease compared to the same period last year, but operating profit recorded 200 million KRW, achieving operating profit for the third consecutive quarter this year.
On a consolidated basis, cumulative sales increased by 13.1% from the same period last year to 26.9 billion KRW, and operating profit rose 4.5% to 900 million KRW. Net profit for the period surged 382.8% to 3.6 billion KRW.
A company representative stated, “We are currently actively carrying out national research projects such as ‘Development of technology to prevent the distribution and spread of illegal filming materials’ and ‘Development of online grooming detection technology’ in collaboration with ETRI (Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute).” He added, “Through efforts to commercialize these technologies, we aim to expand momentum in the safe service sector and continuously contribute positively to building the digital safety net demanded by society.”
