Jang Chung-nam, the governor of Namhae County, Gyeongnam, participated in the 'Gyeongnam Mayors and Governors Council' relay campaign for the passage of the Special Act on the Establishment and Operation of the Space Aviation Agency.

The campaign is being conducted in a relay format by 18 mayors and governors in the Gyeongnam region, expressing their hope for the prompt establishment of the Space Aviation Agency within Gyeongnam Province. It started in Miryang City on the 10th and is scheduled to continue until the 23rd.

Meanwhile, in March, the government announced, "We will establish the Space Aviation Agency within this year to open the space era of the Republic of Korea and establish it as a central institution to realize the space economy roadmap, aiming to leap to become one of the top seven global space powers by 2045."
