Lunit plans to first supply its products to large hospitals such as the 'National Guard Hospital' and 'King Abdulaziz Medical City' under the Saudi Ministry of Defense Health Affairs.
At the same time, the company will install its products at 'Al Takhassusi Hospital,' affiliated with Suliman Al-Habib Medical Group, the largest private medical institution in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East; 'Al Mosa Specialist Hospital,' selected as one of the top 10 hospitals in the Middle East by the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), a cooperative body of six major Middle Eastern countries; and 'Security Forces Hospital,' which provides medical services to Saudi Ministry of Interior employees and their families.
Lunit explained that after participating in the Saudi government-led digital healthcare innovation project 'Healthcare Sandbox' last month as the first Korean company, it has maintained a cooperative relationship and subsequently signed this additional supply contract.
On the 7th, Sami bin Ibrahim Al Husseini, Director General of the Saudi Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority, and government officials visited Lunit’s headquarters during their visit to Korea, continuing exchanges. On the 10th, Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and an economic delegation also visited Lunit to directly check the company’s business status and AI technology capabilities, discussing potential collaboration opportunities.
Seobum Seok, CEO of Lunit, said, "Since entering the Middle Eastern market for the first time early last year through supply contracts with Roche and Microsoft Azure, this supply contract further expands our presence in the Middle Eastern market. We will continue to develop the profitable Middle Eastern market going forward."
