Gangbuk-gu Creates 'Temple Forest Healing Trail' at Hwagyesa Temple

Gangbuk-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Lee Soon-hee) signed a green space utilization contract on the 13th with Hwagyesa Temple (Chief Monk Ubong) for the creation of the 'Temple Forest Healing Trail'.


At the signing ceremony held at Hwagyesa Temple that day, District Mayor Lee Soon-hee and Chief Monk Ubong of Hwagyesa Temple, along with other officials, attended. The Temple Forest Healing Trail project aims to create a citizen rest area on a site of 48,000㎡ (600m) around Suyu-dong San 164-5, linked with the Bukhansan Forest Shelter. After Seoul City's design review next month, construction is scheduled to begin in March 2024 and be completed by October.


District Mayor Lee Soon-hee said, "We thank Hwagyesa Temple for providing the site for the residents of Gangbuk-gu and Seoul citizens," adding, "We will create a green network linked with the Bukhansan Forest Shelter to make it a popular attraction loved by many citizens."
