Publication of a Living Guide for New Residents in Hwagok 8-dong, Gangseo-gu

Contains information on administrative and welfare services such as how to use major local facilities and community center programs... A total of 1,000 copies distributed to welfare facilities, expected to greatly help with resolving civil complaints and quick adaptation

Gangseo-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon) announced that Hwagok 8-dong (Dongjang Kim Eui-sook) has produced and distributed a guidebook for new residents titled "Smart Life in Hwagok 8-dong."

Until now, there had been no distribution of a guidebook covering all the services of the community center, which often led residents to inquire individually for the information they needed.

In particular, many new residents were unaware of the administrative and welfare services provided by Gangseo-gu, resulting in missed opportunities to receive necessary assistance. For the elderly, it is especially difficult to obtain this information on their own.

Accordingly, the district produced a total of 1,000 copies of the guidebook on the 10th and distributed them to welfare facilities and other locations.

The guidebook includes information on administrative and welfare services such as ▲major facilities within the area including public institutions, daycare centers, and financial institutions ▲how to use community center programs ▲resident registration-related administrative services ▲household waste and large waste disposal ▲National Basic Livelihood Security System ▲emergency welfare support system ▲welfare services by life cycle, among others.

The district expects the guidebook to greatly assist residents in resolving civil complaints and adapting quickly.

Kim Eui-sook, Dongjang of Hwagok 8-dong, stated, "We created the guidebook to minimize the inconveniences experienced by residents moving into our neighborhood," and added, "We will do our best to actively communicate with residents and enhance the image and administrative trust of Hwagok 8-dong."
