Power Outage Temporarily Hits Gyeonggi Area... Everland Also Affected
The 'T Express' roller coaster at Everland in Yongin stopped operating due to a power outage on the 14th.
The incident occurred around 3:30 PM when the 'T Express' suddenly stopped functioning tens of meters above the ground during operation.
When the ride stopped, dozens of passengers waited briefly before being assisted by staff to descend using the stairs installed on the ride.
Everland officials reported that the operation was halted due to a disruption in the electricity supply to the ride. The ride resumed normal operation around 4:05 PM.
The cause of the incident was a temporary power outage at the Godeok Substation in Pyeongtaek, which affected power supply and caused outages in several areas of southern Gyeonggi Province.
